Closing Up The Cottage - Sewing Bundle
Closing Up The Cottage
The bittersweet moment has finally arrived when you have to close the cottage for the season. As you give the rough wood floor a final sweep, you reminisce about the summer - all the delicious corn you ate, the perfectly golden marshmallows you roasted, and the wild blackberries you picked and added to the pancakes you made in the electric frying pan with sooo much butter. As you turn off the water main, you realize what you most love about summer is the food. You load what's left in the ancient fridge into a box to take home, and wonder 'what's for lunch?'.
This bundle captures the feeling of the end of cottage season - it's getting darker earlier now, there's a bit of a chill in the mornings, and the leaves are just starting to show signs of their eventual turning. All good things must come to an end.
The fabrics are a mix of smaller, irregular, and larger pieces. On average, there is 1-3m per fabric, but some pieces may be smaller or larger.
This bundle contains: (top to bottom)Grey - 100% cotton
Burgundy satin - 100% rayon
Navy linen blend - 55% linen, 45% rayon
Rust leaf batiste - 100% viscose
Birds' Sewing Bundles comprise a selection of our ends-of-bolts, unused sample yardage, and general fabric leftovers from our studio and production. We have tried to include 2-3 larger size pieces in each bundle that could possibly make a full garment, and the remainder is a mix of pieces that may be enough for a top or skirt, or may be better suited to smaller craft projects.
